Ryan Heath Racing Celebrates at NYSSCA Banquet

Albany, NY: February 25, 2020: Ryan Heath takes home the New York State Stock Car Association’s 2019 Crate Modified Rookie/Newcomer of The Year Award for Glen Ridge Motorsports Park.

The 2019 season fell short of the expectations of Ryan Heath and his team. The driver out of Huntington, MA moved up to the Sportsman 602 class from the limited sportsman for the 2019 season. Running his second full season at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park, the team worked hard week in and week out, even as mother nature seemed to win more than any driver. Ryan said, “After a mediocre 2019, we as a team went back to the shop to really figure out where we went wrong. When I received my NYSSCA letter I was completely surprised. Getting nominated for Glen Ridge Rookie of the year was that extra boost me and my team needed.”

The surprise quickly moved to gratitude as Ryan understands its not easy to be recognized for the hard work you put in when the stats don’t deliver. “To be able to share a stage with all of the talented racers that were at the banquet was truly a privilege and also motivational. To be in the company of the best really makes me look forward to the spring testing season, and to get the 2020 season underway.”

There are still a few questions to answer for the 6r team before the start of the 2020 season but Flyin’ Ryan Heath will hit the track soon with a new found confidence and lofty goals for the season ahead.

“The rookie stripes are off, its time to get serious.” – Ryan Heath
