TP Looks Strong with STSS

TYLER PEET BRING IT HOME P11!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Middletown, NY; April 3, 2022: The luck of the draw was in full effect at Orange County Fair Speedway Saturday night. Starting 8th in his heat race, Tyler Peet was behind the eight ball but knew the 12T was ready to go!

Taking the short way around the track, the 12T machine was able to take advantage of the drive-off and quickly found himself moving forward. A miss-cue could have spelled disaster as the 17 of Brian Krummel drove under Peet in turn 4 launching himself over the inside wall moving TP to P5. Krummel recovered quickly and found speed on the outside. When the checkered flag dropped, Peet would land P6 and head to the consi.

The 12T came alive in the consi. Stuck down low, TP used his inside starting spot in P5 to leave the outside line and make quick work of Rich Ricci Jr in turns 3 &4. The 12T was on rails as the laps clicked off. With 3 to go, TP looked to make a move on Jeff Higham peeking under the 77. Caution flagged waved with 2 laps to go! Leader Daniel Morgiewicz chose the outside line which opened the door for Higham and Peet and they took advantage. TP had a good run off turn 4 fighting for the lead coming to checkers but would end up P2. He did his job and made it into the show.

Feature Time! Peet would start 23rd out of 26, essentially last as far as drivers are concerned. TP knew he had his work cut out for him. He stuck to the inside line and sent it. Within the first 7 laps, the 12T was listed P17. Lap 8 would see a caution but restarts are certainly a strength for the 12T team and this was no different. Without leaving the bottom, TP drove to P12 and then battled hard with Tyler Corcoran coming across the line P11.

β€œIt was a blast getting back to the House of Power, I think we showed great speed and hopefully next time we can start up front and really see what we have.” - Tyler Peet

Next Race: April 8th at Diamond Speedway.

Tyler Peet is a young driver from Lake Ariel, PA traveling with the Short Track Super Series for 2022. Be on the lookout for appearances at local tracks throughout the season.
