A Weekend Team Full 8 will try to Forget, after a lot of Shop Time!

Friday night: Driver Tyer Peet and the crew headed to Big Diamond Speedway once again! The 12T and Big Diamond seem to get along. Once again, another stellar performance in the heat race saw TP race from P7 to a solid 3rd place finish. That would start the 12T P11 for the feature. Unfortunately, the feature would serve as TP’s shortest of the season, if not of his career as the field got bottled up on the initial start and the 12T was sent into the outside wall at the flagger stand. The 12T saw extensive damage that kept Peet from getting back on the track.

The team loaded up the mangled machine and headed for home. Peet spent the drive home worried about how extensive the damage was. Fearing significant frame issues, Peet spend the first few hours of his birthday tearing down the car! We got the call about 2:30 am that the 12T would live to fight another day and they were turning their attention to prepping for the next race!

Next Race: Stay Tuned!

Saturday night: Team Full 8 driver, Ryan Heath unloaded the 6r at Lebanon Valley Speedway. Heath was ready to go after diagnosing a motor issue and spending most of the week in the shop correcting handling issues to get the new Troyer chassis race ready! With 14 sportsmans signed in, the field was given heat races. Starting P7, Heath was focused on getting the car dialed in and getting more notes for the book with this new chassis. The P7 start and finish did just that! The 6r was coming around and feeling good when things went awry. A tangle with a competitor set the front end out of whack and ended the night for the 6r coming to lap 8. The team is hard at work in the shop to make the necessary repairs for this week's race!

Next Race: Lebanon Valley Speedway - Saturday, May 7th. Warm-ups start at 5 pm and racing kicks off at 6 pm! If you cannot make it to the track, catch all the action on Dirt Track Digest TV.

A few other notes from Lebanon Valley: Kolby Schroder came with his game face on as he dominated the big block modified race. He went to the lead on lap 3 and never looked back. A last-lap pass by Andy Bachetti after a restart where Schroder was faced with holding off the likes of Kenny Tremont, Andy Bachetti, and Mike King. While the P2 was not at all what the 99 team wanted, Kolby deserves the shout-out on an awesome race where he not only lead 27 laps but lead by at least a straightaway for most of those laps!

Warm-ups were halted at The Valley on Saturday due to the 358- modified of Ray Hall Jr. coming to a stop. Due to a driveshaft malfunction, Hall was injured which we are hearing required surgery after being transported by ambulance to a local hospital. We are all wishing for a speedy recovery for Ray and our thoughts and prayers are with him, his family, and his team!
