Huntington, MA; May 6, 2021: It is 2015. The RHR team is parking the trailer and unloading. Young rookie, Ryan Heath is strapping into a sportsman chassis for the first time. The nerves, the excitement, and the thrill mounting. The green flag drops on Ryan’s first career start.

After watching his dad win, and turning wrenches for the likes of Stan Wetmore and Mark Flach, it was finally Ryan’s turn; The High Banks were calling. Heath would finish the season 12th in points that year.

Five years after its last run, the 6r is back! Ryan and the team hauled the short distance to Lebanon Valley Speedway for both practice sessions and quickly remembered why they called it home for so long. After a quick flashback to the 2016 crash that ended Heath’s last bid at the Valley of Speed, Heath and his 2019 Troyer Chassis fell into place and got into the groove of being back on a 5/8-mile track. After spending most of the last four years on the fastest ¼ mile at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park, Lebanon Valley was certainly a change of pace.

The original 2021 plan for Ryan Heath Racing was to run for the championship at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park, select shows at Lebanon Valley Speedway, and the DIRTcar Sportsman East Series. After a stellar performance at the April 24th practice session, the team reconvened and decide to make some adjustments to the plan. Ryan Heath will still run for a championship at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park but will also run for fun at Lebanon Valley Speedway.

The team will double down this weekend; you can catch Heath at The Valley of Speed on May 8th and Glen Ridge on May 9th!!
