Afton, NY: October 6, 2022; It all comes down to this weekend with the culmination of the Short Track Super Series’s 602 Sportsman North Region. It will all go down Friday and Saturday nights at Afton Motorsports Park with the American Racer Cup Short Track Supernationals. 602 Sportsman driver, Tyler Peet out of Lake Ariel PA, is ready to do battle again after some time off. It has been a few weeks since TP was behind the wheel. The last on-track activity came at Fonda where he started 29th and drove up to 17th before the checkered flag flew.

“I am excited to get back to racing after some time off. We have never been to Afton before but we’re putting our best foot forward to try and close out a decent first year with the series.” - Tyler Peet

Peet mentioned there was room for improvement for his 2022 campaign. That is a testament to his drive to be the best he can be as a driver, not necessarily the numbers the 12t has put up. Peet sits 4th in points for the STSS 602 Sportsman North Region not a bad stat for his first year with the traveling series.

Peet has been to Afton only as a crew member for Alex Yankowski never behind the wheel himself so there are some questions about the setup and racing lines that he hopes are answered quickly.

It will be a big weekend for racing at Afton with the cameras live at 5:30 pm on both Friday and Saturday on FloRacing! TP’s focus will be the 25-lap North Region Final on Saturday but check back to see if he will make an appearance for the open vs crate race on Friday night!
