Big Announcement from RHR…or should we say small?

Huntington, MA; April 15, 2023; 2022 was not the season Ryan Heath Racing was hoping for. In fact, it was the worst season on record with more DNFs than any other season and a lot of frustrating moments. Even then, the little team that could, fought hard and came away with a 6th place points finish at Lebanon Valley Speedway! A big part of the success was a strong showing at Mr. Dirt. Never one to underestimate the power of a morale booster, the team tried hard to focus on the positives when they came their way.

At the end of 2022, the team started researching options for 2023 which quickly lead to discussions about making big changes. Sometimes, looking toward the future requires looking at the past. In 2018, RHR made a massive change to its racing program and moved weekly to Glen Ridge Motorsports Park. Turning their program on its head turned out to be the best decision Heath and his team had made. They won 6 limited sportsman feature events that year!

Over the course of Heath’s 8-year career, he spent 4 seasons each in limited sportsman and DIRTcar sportsman racing at Lebanon Valley Speedway, Glen Ridge Motorsports Park, and Albany Saratoga Speedway racking up 7 feature wins!

When thinking about this upcoming season, the team decided they wanted another challenge. After all, the team motto is the Jerry Dunn quote, “Don’t limit your challenges, challenge your limits!” Following months of research, conferring with Soltis Speed, and pulling extra shifts to make sure the pocketbook could keep up, RHR purchased a SPEC 358 engine and by the beginning of April, the 6r was ready to go!

For 2023, Ryan Heath and the 6r team will be competing for the 358 Modified Championship at Lebanon Valley Speedway! However, the team is not walking away from the sportsman just yet! There are sportsman races on the schedule this year as well, including dates at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park!

"Ever since I was young, I had the dream of racing. In 2014, I made the jump from crew member to team owner and driver. Over the last 8 years of racing limited & DIRTcar sportsman, I've made some of the best friends, and had some of the most memorable nights of my life! In 2023, I look forward to new beginnings and new challenges in the 358 modified ranks. Moving up this year is just another step on our journey! " - Ryan Heath

Ryan Heath Racing was formed in 2014. As a second-generation driver, Ryan Heath has been around racing his entire life. With 7 features wins in the limited and DIRTcar sportsman series, RHR calls Lebanon Valley Speedway home for 2023 making the transition to the 358-Modifieds!
